Cat Abuse Treatment Society - Please Vote

http://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/bl...the-shortlist/

Cat Abuse Treatment Society is completely dependent upon the generosity of the public and grant applications. The recession has hit this registered charity very hard, as not only have funds dried up, competition for grants become more challenging, and donations dwindled, but more and more people are dumping their pets or neglecting to have their cats neutered. As a result, more and more cats and kittens are being rescued from distressing situations in need of urgent and lifesaving medical treatment.
All charities have suffered as a result of the recent economic climate, but this small charity which has been working hard in the city of Sheffield for over 20 years is in serious danger of having to close. The charity shop was closed many years ago due to repeated break-ins, the animal ambulance was stolen and burnt out and funds were not available to replace it…..the charity relies on food donations to their collection bins in local supermarkets and cash donations to continue the work in saving feline lives.
This charity isn’t a rehoming centre, even though some cats rescued are eventually able to be placed in forever homes. This charity provides a safe haven for many disabled and abused cats, including a cat with no eyes, three cats with cerebral palsy, a cat with deformed legs, a blind cat (one of many to have lived at the Sanctuary).
Please vote for Cat Abuse Treatment Society so the work may continue to specifically save cats and kittens who have been abused and mistreated by humans.
