New kitten

we collected our new kitten yesterday and since getting home he's hardly stopped, been in to everything! Only trouble is Chloe has got the hump, she's just kept to our bedroom today and the times she did come downstairs and went to go in the lounge she saw the kitten hissed and went back up stairs, I think it might take a while, and we've still got 2 weeks before we move to our much bigger house, where if they don't get on theres plenty of space to avoid each other. Anyway the kitten is a BSH Lilac Colour point male we're calling Marmaduke, his pedigree name is Aristotle! and a big sod the breeder thinks he might grow to around 7kg

Re: New kitten

Oh. he is just soooo gorgeous. Love him. I'm sure Chloe will settle down soon. He looks as if he has a really thick coat. 7kg will be impressive.

Re: New kitten

his paws are massive already and he's only 13 weeks. I hope Chloe does settle soon, its a shame we're not in the new house, we had planned on being in by Xmas

Re: New kitten

Awwww he is gorgeous and making me "broody"! Lol. My poor Alfie had to put up with hissing from 3 strange (to him) cats but its amazing how quickly they come round, its horrible to put them all through it at the time but just when you think its never going to happen, little by little they protest less, are less hostile and then hopefully, make friends. Tess is 16 and she has accepted Alfie despite violent hissing and growling for a week or so. The other 2 came round a bit quicker. Good luck!! Jan x

Re: New kitten

Wee cutie! And teddy bear is just the right description for him too!

Looking forwards to hearing how he settles, and how the move goes for both of them.

Re: New kitten

What a little stunner! Chloe will come around eventually, do pay her a bit of extra attention .... hard to do with a new kitten! ...... so she won't feel neglected and resentful. He does have big paws!
