Tomorrow is the day

I'm going to stop smoking. I have just decided.
My chest feels tight, I have a kind of cough and I'm smoking far too much.
Anyone want to join me????

Never smoked in my life Jac, but wish you all the best in trying to stop. Even if no one else is stopping, do it for yourself and your kids.

Boys Mum is a few weeks ahead of you Jac - sure she'll hold your hand if you need support.
It's one of the few sins I have never tried, , so I can't be of any help - other than to say 'Way to Go, Jac!'. It's got to be the best way. Think of all the money you'll save, put it in a pot and plan what you want to spend it on!
Good luck!

Oh thanks.
That's the diffrence, before I stoped because someone wanted me to so I started again. This time I want to stop for me.
I am quite strong willed at times so I will do it.

Jac - there are a million good reasons to stop . . . and you can feel proud of yourself for ever that you did something and stuck to it!!!

You're a strong woman so if you put your mind to it I'm sure you'll succeed!!!

Re: Tomorrow is the day

I gave up on 1 July last year - it was the right time and because I was so determined it was actually relatively easy - even when the bombs went off on 7/7 I didn't give in. (I work 10 minutes away from where the bus was blown up and travel through Kings Cross station every day. Took me 4 hours to do a 1 hour journey home.)

Good luck Jac - think of all the money you're saving and how much nicer you'll smell. My skin really improved too.

Just one thing... after about 3 or 4 days, you might find you have terrible wind for a week or so - it *does* wear off
