Re: The Queen

I haven't seen it. Cinema's off the agenda at the moment so maybe when it comes out on DVD or on TV I'll get a look at it.

Would be interested to hear what you all thought of it when you get round to seeing it though!

Not yet seen it, absolutely desperate to though! From the clips I have seen it looks fantastic (and I'm a staunch supporter of Her Majesty anyway)

Re: The Queen

I'll watch it either on TV or maybe if it comes back to the local cinema again (there was a showing last Sunday but my OH was otherwise engaged).
Mark Kermode, whose opinions usually coincide with mine (except he likes horror and I don't) says it is really a TV production rather than cinema, so I suppose that means I won't miss any great effects if I watch it on the little box.
From the clips Helen Mirren has captured a great deal of the actual Queen. In contrast, the actor playing Tony Blair seemed more like Rory Bremner but maybe the clips aren't reflective of the whole film

I'm not a royalist by any means, but I would love to see this film, in reality will probably wait 'till it is out on DVD
