Re: Meet Pudding.

She looks to be a lovely cat. Glad she has settled. If she keeps on eating small and often then hopefully the weight will come on. Look forward to a pic in a few months time.

Re: Meet Pudding.

Well Pudding is hyperthyroid, which would indicate that she is probably over 10. Even though this may explain some of her thinness, she has put on some weight here so she has also not been getting enough food. We are starting her on 10mg of vidalta today and blood test again in 2 weeks- hopefully we should see a big improvement by then.
My biggest concern is how much damage has been done to her other organs, so I'll probably get her blood pressure checked and her kidney function checked again at the same time- that should cover everything- and after another 2 weeks we will get her FIV/Felv tested. So in a months time we will know exactly where we stand- and it will just be a case of stabilising her.

Poor poppet - she's in the best place with you and hopefully you can get her stabilised. Does she have any breathing problems?

Re: Meet Pudding.

At least now she will get the treatment she needs, probably the poor little thing would have died if she hadn't been found.
