Re: Help! Toilet training!

Coukd you put the kitten food on a shelf? We feed ours off the floor. Our Boxers would just help themselves if the kitten or cat food was their level

No unfortunately not
My kitchen is an odd layout, and I don't want them on the table/counters!

It's the floor they poo on anyway!

We have a Doric stove (small Aga) not in use - kittens are fed up there. Adults are fed in the small utility room off the floor.

Do you think the kittens would poo where their food was even if the food was raised.

Has your extra litter tray helped?

There is nowwhere raised to put the food where they poo - one of the places is right by the back door.

As soon as the food dish is empty they poo there anyway!
So got to be on top of keeping them topped up!

Sounds hectic.

Ours usually wait with a calculated look until i finish cleaning the litter trays out and then dash in to do a poo

Re: Help! Toilet training!

Cats are very fussy creatures, I have to empty the poo from the tray as soon as its done otherwise they wont use the tray again. You can try getting litter that attracts them or try sprinkling cat nip onto the litter. Hope this helps
