My cat has started 'peeing' on my other cat

My female cat aged 16m has started urinating on my younger male cat aged 11m she is also rolling in the cat loo and rubbing it around the sofa. Both are spayed and are indoor cats. There is no aggression involved, She appears to groom the back of his head and then pee on his back. Can anyone tell me why it's started happening? And most of all how can I stop it??? Any help/suggestions are gratefully received. Thanks

Have to admit that I've not heard of this behaviour either .... can your vet recommend a behaviour therapist?

Re: My cat has started 'peeing' on my other cat

Assuming your vet has ruled out any underlying physical problems such as cystitis or hormonal inbalance innappropriate urinating could be sign of stress. Has anything new been introduced into the household etc? Anything that may seem minor to you that may be bothering her..

If your vet has ruled out everything else I would be inclined to contact a feline behaviourist local to your area. Your vet will probably be able to put you in touch with one.

Please let us know how you get on, this is all new to us too, and if we can all learn from what this could be, all the better. I feel sure it will be 'sortable'.

Very common this among Justices of the Peace and high court judges, but they normally have ot pay for it.

Hi. Has the cat she is peeing on had surgery lately or around the time this started? The smell of anasthesia and or medication can be unsettling for cats. I read about it on a website.
