Cheeky monkey!!

Denis came in yesterday (from playing in the garden on his harness ) and goes into the room where his dinner is then comes back out cries at me so I follow him...this usually means 'I want a cuddle' (kind of re-grouping session after he's been out) well he takes me into the room where his dinner is and stands by his bowl that has his biscuits in (Purinas) and looks at the bowl, cries, looks at me and cries again.... he has bowls of food there too not like he was starving just had eaten all his biscuits!!
So i go to get the biscuits and he follows me out to the cupboard then runs in front of me while I bring them back and waits at his bowl!!
He has never done that before...hes cried at me and Ive guessed he wanted dinner or a new food cos he didnt like the other one (or for titbits at the fridge, cos he appears everytime the fridge opens...like hes starving!! ) but never lead me to his bowl and practically pointed at the empty bowl

Re: Cheeky monkey!!

The words 'finger', 'little', 'your', 'around', and 'wrapped' come to mind.

Don't worry, I'm exactly the same with my 2 who are paticularly choosy in their senior years. I had 8 bowls, all with their fave different food in a line the other day just to make sure they didn't starve, lol. They too tend to act like starving cats if their Purina bowl is empty!

Cats are very smart. They've figured out we are no good at decyphering their subtle body language so they have to make their wishes so plain that even the village idiot can figure it out!. Clever puss you have there!

I love all the little quirks cats develope and how they learn to manipulate us so easily. God love Dennis, he's a clever lad indeed.
