Seat Belts for Cats

Just an observation.

I've never seen an animal in a car with a seat belt on.

Do people here use them (for their cats, of course)?

My Cassie is always in a cat carrier when in a car, when the carrier is on its own on the back seat, the seat belt is usually around it.

Carrier with the seatbelt around it here as well. There are harnesses for (bigger) dogs that clip into the seatbelt but I've never seen one for a cat. Not sure they're good for cats at all since they are very much more bendy than dogs.

I got one for a cat on zooplus, and gave it a go, but Cloud is a timid girl when out of the house, so we were back to the cat box after the first attempt.

Cat carrier with seat belt around it here too - to stop it moving about and making her more frightened than she is of travelling in Kizzy's case.

Re: Seat Belts for Cats

I never thought to put the seat belt on the carrier! I'm sitting in the back seat with my seat belt on and the carrier next to me so I can talk to and comfort her. Vet is stressful for both of us.
