I have never even heard of thundersnow - I assume thunder storm and snow ............... sounds frightening.

It was very eerie.. never had that before so didnt think it could happen.

Really really loud thunder, blizzard snow and then the lightning.... thought the world was coming to an end

Thunder snow is rare; we had it in the bad snowstorm in the late 80s when the airliner fell into the Potomac River. Very scary indeed; hasn't happened here so far.
