Sparkle 1st June 2004-December 19th 2006

The little nethie x english boy passed away about 10 minutes ago Just a baby really..from an accidental home litter..one of about 16 i think..mother killed/abondaned babies..had to handrear most of the litter from about four days old..this little chap was the only survivor..allways thought he would be.
Did morning rounds today and he was fine..at lunch time i went to get something out of the shed..while searching Ralph was wining..and was lying by the hutch..looked in and 'Sparkle' looked very subdude..didn't think too much of it, wish I had done-just put it down to being a chilly day etc so put some more straw in for warmth. About 10 minutes ago Ralph was really making 'commotion' by the hutches-wining mostly, went to investigate..the little man was on his way to 'the other side'..got him out, wrapped him up, was going to settle him into the indoor cage then give the vets a tinkle-he was gone with a few minutes of being in the house.
Seems such bitter irony that the one survivor, that he who i had no sleep when handrearing for..he who survived when all his siblings perished..went so mysteriously. Haven't got the foggiest what happened, not going to put him through any PM's etc..very sad day.

Polly, Elsa, The Original bert n Ernie & now him..all within the one year
He was a lovely chap..very quiet, spent a lot of time in the house with the rest of the mob, was very human and such a sweetheart..

Called this as he opened his eyes the day the last of his remaining siblings passed away and they were the brightest blue ever, like little rays of hope..
