A Cat's Perspective of Life

I wrote this last night:

It's such a hard life here
I can sleep when I want,
Eat when I want.
My family lets me out on demand.

The food is good, I don't need to hunt
But I hunt anyway
It's one thing I enjoy.

Life is hard here
I get stroked on demand,
Picked up and cuddled on demand.
Heck, I can even sleep on the bed
If I choose to!

Could life be any harder?
I don't think it could!
My family complains about the price of things
But spare a thought for me!

I have to go to the vets
For all my injections and things
I don't like needles!

The vet pokes and prods around
Every time I go there
Vets are mean when they hurt
But I don't mind coming back!

When I return from the vets
I get all the fuss I want!
The other cats hiss at me though
But I don't mind
I'm just happy to be home!
Life isn't so bad round here!

Re: A Cat's Perspective of Life

I just read a poem re Dylan;
What a life, he's aways chillin'.
Good food, soft bed, a nice warm house,
Holy terror to a mouse.
He's a good cat, not a villian!

Where did you see that DM? Lovely, describes Dylan purrfectly

I think my poem describes all Catsey cats

Made it up, RCR...I can't write serious poetry, but can do doggerel!

Leia is a laid-back cat,
Loves her comfy thermal mat.
Likes her food but very picky.
Thinks people food is really icky!
Proud of killing that large rat!
