Fireworks a petition?

Sorry if this has been covered but I can't find it Is anyone aware of any groups/lobbying the goverment to ban fireworks or at least ammend the dates they can be sold by?

I have just witnessed a poor dog a BC going paranoid at the end of his lead when someone let off a blinking great whizzy firework - poor dog and his poor owner the lady was beside herself the dog almost hung himself trying to escape - Thank God he didn't . Took the chap from over the road Tony and me were chatting, to help her hold him Tony carried him home for her

Re: Fireworks a petition?

The animal welfare charities, particularly the RSPCA, should be campaigning for this. If they swamped the shopping centres on saturdays, went house to house etc they would get sooooo many supporters - they could even ask for 50p per supporter to get professional pr/lobbyists and get this sorted for good and all.

Thanks heavens for living here - haven't heard one yet.................. I hate 'em - always have

Guide Dogs have been very involved in this. And the law was changed recently.

Don't ask me any details though

I think they should not be on sale to the public. Only available for displays.
