HELP!!!! Feral kittens

Can anyone help me please - rescue people maybe, but all help wanted.

A friend of mine from work Pete (nice chap in his early 60's) came into work today with scratches on his hands, he has two feral kittens in his garden apparently they are really wildand leg it he has been trying to encourage them into the shed so he can get them spayed neutured but is having no luck although they do eat only when food left outside he half caught one the other night by accident he bent down to pick up the empty dish to replace it and the kitten lashed out he/she was in the bush the kitten must have thought Pete was trying to grab him.
Anyhow it appears their is a neighbour nearby who has pond and one who has birds in the garden and Pete thinks the wild kittens could get into loads of trouble as they get older.
So would a rescue be willing to help him? it come out and trap them? before he ends up with a whole colony. Pete's wife won't have animalsof any sort so he can't have them

Sorry its long.

Karen

Re: HELP!!!! Feral kittens

Depends how old the kittens are, as to how easy they would be to tame.

Try Cat Action Trust first - they may be able to help.

Ta Pete says they are babies - but not sure how much contact he's had with cats/kittens he's such a big bloke anything looks small to him. He told me for months his daughter little dog, its a Great Dane.

Re: HELP!!!! Feral kittens

just wondering how this went??
i am willing to take on tame and then try and rehome with help of course any ferrals. having recently taken in a 6month old ferral whois lovely and tame. its very rewarding
and feel this is what i want to do, so am now looking into setting up a small home run ferral rescue.

Re: HELP!!!! Feral kittens

Was the 6 month old a true feral cat? I have great admiration for you if you have the time & patience to tame a feral cat.

I could certainly put some ferals your way if you start a feral rescue.

Also not sure what area Kazz's friend is in, but Kazz lives in B'ham.

Re: HELP!!!! Feral kittens

Sorry people he is in B'ham too but it appears the kittens have not been seen since - no one appears to have any idea where they have gone. But Pete's wife did say one of the neighbours that back onto them had previously reported the kittens with a rescue so maybe maybe.
