Catsey seems to be fadeing away

Hate to say it but Catsey seems to be fadeing away.
Not sure what is happening but its very sad
In the past this forum was very lively with all sorts of competitions, a daily, a quiz night and generally lots of postings,
Something special is being lost

Re: Catsey seems to be fadeing away

I agree shelley. Sad to see it happening. Is there any update on the moving to the bigger forum? Would love to see our wee forum though kept alive.

It's not through lack of trying with the quiz and games

Please help keep catsey alive!!

Re: Catsey seems to be fadeing away

It is sad ........... I haven't been chatting here much lately either.

I know that some Catseyers will meet at "the other place" but there are still other Catseyers who don't and I shall be sorry to miss their posts and comments.

Re: Catsey seems to be fadeing away

although i go on the other place i don't meet up with fellow catseyers.
Not sure what is going wrong on here ?
Obviously it's not as instant as the other place but still has a valuable role to play IMO.
The threads stay and provide a resourse for people seeking info.
For me, i find posting pictures quite cumbersome, having to upload them to Photo bucket first, then when you do post not a lot of people seem to look at them anyway.
Gradually people have stopped posting on the forum and although we get new people i can't see them sticking around as there is not much response.

Re: Catsey seems to be fadeing away

I agree Shelley ....... but there's not a lot we can do about it which is even more frustrating really.

I think that many forums are going the same way and if they don't set up their own page in "the other place" then they will gradually wither away. The rescue dog forum I belong to has both it's own forum to keep up and a page in the other place too - must be a nightmare for administrators.

Yes it's definitely worth saving but unless we can get old members back and new members to post idk whether we can save it ...

Re: Catsey seems to be fadeing away

Unfortunately the social media sites are destroying the smaller forums as members drift in their direction. I'm afraid there is not a lot we can do about that.... maybe rekindle some of the older topics?

Re: Catsey seems to be fadeing away

i like the social media site i go on but i also value catsey and would hate to see it fold.
I wonder if there is a way to make posting pictures easier ?
Also would there be any mileage in asking people what they want out of catsey ?
