Orchid and Amaryllis

Both my orchid and amaryllis are in full bloom now which adds warmth and brightness indoors compared to looking at the cold white 'stuff' outside....

Thanks for posting those, they do indeed brighten up a Winter day! Is that last years amaryllis or a new one?

I have buds on 5 of mine that Summered outdoors and one on this years I got at Christmas; can't wait to see the flowers.

That's a new amaryllis called Flamingo, Eileen ........ last year's bulbs produced lots of leaf growth but unfortunately no buds

Looking forward to seeing yours in flower soon

Wow - such lovely colours on the orchid.
Only one of my amarylis from last year has survived. It has put out a couple of leaves so I await results!!

So do I - I forgot to label them when I put them out- I had put them all into flowerpots with drainage so they all looked the same.

No bud, but two healthy leaves. If I don't get a flower this year is it woth keeping until next?
