Re: Really Hacked Off (not cat-dog)

We do have people waiting for dogs and some have said they are happy to take an older one. Just a case of telephoning arroud. Yes we do live in a throw away sociaty. Thats half the problem, easy come easy go.

I got a dog from the dogs trust a few weeks ago that has been found wandering the streets and eating out buckets! Thats the people that get to me! In this day there are loads of rescues/welfares. Theres no need to "dump" an animal.
I'm getting on my soap box

Re: Really Hacked Off (not cat-dog)

Poor thing he looks so sweet. I couldn't give him up for the world, some people just need a good slap

Slightly different to this poor chaps situation but when Tam1 (rescue staffy)was taken to be PTS the vet asked if I would consider rehoming her, I told him 'No that is not an option' and there was no way I was going to let a family have the heartbreak of caring for her in her last few day's/weeks. She was my responsibilty for the last 11 months of her life and that was how it was going to stay.

Re: Really Hacked Off (not cat-dog)

It is so sad when people just get "fed up" of a pet. They do not deserve or should be allowed to have any more. I am not a dog person myself, but even so could never do anything so cruel as to throw away a pet for no doubt a pathetic reason.

Re: Really Hacked Off (not cat-dog)

Just to let you all know, Benn is at the kennells we sometimes use but actually in the girls house. She is quite happy to have him until we get "the home for him" . He is going to the vet on Tuesday for an M.O.T. He's vac until sept next year but will be wormed. Nothing seems to bother him, he's walking off lead (in the forrest) comes back when called, not bothered by the horses, cats or goats! Makes you wonder doesnt it?
Oh the only thing he has done thats naughty is...............he's stolen a teddy bear to cuddle
