Sunny Sunday.

Good morning everyone. It's Sunday early evening here after a sunny 24 degree day. 24 degrees I can handle nicely, especially if there is cloud cover which there was today. I'm sorry it's been so chilly for all of you, but Spring will be just around the corner. As for me, I'm just pleased that summer is nearly over.

I had a nice weekend. Saturday, my cousin and I went Op-shopping at the new St Johns Ambulance store and got a few bargains.I got a lovely Wrendale dog calendar (2021) for $4 and a sweet little figurine of a Scottish terrier that I gave to my sister. As children, we had a Scottish Terrier called Harold. He was a darling wee dog and we used to put bows and hair clips in his whiskers. He tolerated it.We cried for ages when he passed away.

Today, I decided to clean the bathroom and i FINALLY got around to putting the shelves into an Ikea tower cabinet that I bought nearly a year ago. Such a simple task, but it took me a year to do it !!! It has a glass front with tiny wee embossed flowers on the glass and I've managed to fill it up nicely. Threw away a few tubes of used body lotions that had lost their scent and the bathroom looks really good now, even though it's still unfinished.

We've had a few community cases of Covid up in Auckland so Auckland has now gone into Level 3 lockdown from tonight. The rest of us have moved to Level 2. Still no signs of any vaccine arriving here but it's meant to be soon. I have to go back to my specialist this week but if our Alert levels go higher, that will probably be cancelled.

PAMELA,I hope the snow eases up for you today. It must be so hard trying to keep Mia's paw clean and dry in those conditions. At least she'll be happy that her bandage is off. Let's hope it heals up quickly for her.I hope Barney's leg is less stiff now and he's enjoying his walks again, even though they're short ones.I do hope you're pleased with your new contacts and the sanding of the bannister went smoothly !!!

YOLA,lovely that you're getting David Jason for the voice over. I agree - his voice is lovely. I bet you're pleased it's the weekend after such a hectic week. At last your son has his new car and I know he'll be thrilled with it. Has he driven anywhere in it yet ? Good for you for having the farm animal sanctuary as your Smile charity. I do hope they do well.

KAZZ hope today is not as cold as yesterday. Still Gert must be walked. Did you enjoy Crocodile Dundee last night ? I've not seen those movies myself as I don't like comedies. Give me a good horror any day. The Shining is on TV here tonight but I've seen it so many times, I'll just watch a DVD

SHELLEY, hope is all well with you, Howard and the pups.

Well everyone, I'm off to choose a DVD.

Have a good ,relaxing Sunday and stay warm and safe.

Re: Sunny Sunday.

Good morning been to work this morning and walked the dog, cold out there though thought it was meant to get warmer but seems not well NOT according to my finger and toes. LOL

Just putting the Guinea Fowl in the oven loved it at Christmas and thought hey have it again.

Also decided to go back to baking and got a 4 nice (well hope they are nice) Lemon Tarts in the making. I am not a baker but my Nan and Mom were very good and the other day my brother said "I miss Moms baking, you were okay too" which is a major compliment from him LOL So thought hey have the baking equipment so made a Custard Tart which went down a storm so here I got orders and today 4 x 23cm Lemon Tarts. Quite enjoying it.
