Daily Thread/Wednesday

Morning all,
Freezing here again today.
Am getting quite worried about Choccy dog now,I took him to the vets yesterday, the vet ruled out his anal glands and said that they were fine. She suggested worming him again even though he was only done 2 months ago. Anyway got him home, wormed him and he was fine,as though there had been nothing wrong with him at all,no dragging his bum, nothing. Then out of the blue yesterday evening he started again, poor boy has given himself bauld patches round his bum and tail Have asked over on dogsey and got a few opinions from there so Im back off to the vets with him after Ive finished work later. Hes so uncomfortable and wont stop rubbing/licking long enough to even eat
Just strange that he was fine when we had got back from the vets then its all of a sudden came back on again of the joys of animals
Anyway must dash,Im late getting ready for work.
Hope everyone has a good day

Re: Daily Thread/Wednesday

Poor Choccy...Milo used to do it just for fun

It's like a skating rink here. Had to wench the car door open so I could get the girls in and take Poppy to Nursery. The ice was thick on the cars too. Merlin is getting to be a little and waking me up in the night to go out for the toilet and is refusing to use his litter tray now. I have wooden blinds in the house and he tried to get through them to leap out of the windows so I have to let him out or else my blinds will be no more!! *tut tut* Belle refuses to use a litter tray too so I can't tell him off

Need to do lots of little jobs today, going for lunch with my hubby and then it's the christmas card mountain to tackle and write tonight. Maybe the Catsey quiz may put it off for another day????

Keep warm and safe guys x

Good morning
Just clocking in but only to report that it is frosty and bright, and that there is no news.

Erin - could you put some bran or similar in Choccy's food, so he doesn't have to strain to 'go'. Might help? Or even wipe around *that area* with a human haemorrhoid wet wipe? They advertise themselves as very soothing for *that area*. Poor boy. Hope it's better today.
Stay warm everyone

Re: Daily Thread/Wednesday

Morning all off to work shortly.

Erin that sounds upsetting for Choc as well as you......not sure what it is but might he have eaten anything that is causing a blockage so to speak? is he constipated or the other way....do you think as the vet saw nothing that he may have cleared his glands himself and now sore....may be worth another vet visit to check.

DM's suggestion of bran is good, maybe a little cod liver oil.

But everyone have a good day.

Hi all. Sorry to hear about Choccy.

Its all frozen here, ive been to work and on my way back when I got onto my estate I had to go soooo slow driving, theres a slight hill and I accelerated a little and the wheels spun ! Was fun though lol.

Hope we get some proper snow soon.

Re: Daily Thread/Wednesday

Morning all! Frosty and bright here this morning. OH has gone to play golf - good luck to him! He didn't want to go (he said) but his friend did ..... he would have been very grumpy if he'd stayed at home. He has a bit of a journey up to Fleet to play golf and I am just praying he gets there and back safely. It's no good trying to wrap them in cotton wool for our own peace of mind is it? Must go out and give Mrs B. some food - she's such a lovely blackbird and comes and asks for her breakfast each morning. It's a bit late today Mrs B. but MIL had to come first!

Not sure what I'm going to do today - I've got a bit of a headache on the right side - sure it's catarrh, hope an Olbas tablet will clear it.

So sorry to hear about Choc's problems Erin - do hope you and Dogsey and/or vet can find a way to make him more comfortable.

Re: Daily Thread/Wednesday

Afternoon (I just typed morning and realised it wasn't any more)!!

Busy here. OH and Sebi off ill at home. Sebsy's got a fever; we had to take him to a meeting this morning and he fell asleep on me. Bless. It's cold, frosty and bright here. Bruce is currently ripping up my floor (OH says) and will shortly be bringing in the new floor to let it aclimatise for a couple of days before laying it.

I'm frantic here work-wise with OH off and one other PM on holiday I'm desk-hopping like a mad thing keeping on top of everyone's emails!

And to top it all, Fifi's stressed as has got the runs again! Oh joy
