I think you've caught the catbug, timber-! Wee Devon is a stunner too. Re the purring - all cats are individuals, my old Merlin was the kind who could purr and then pounce on you! So purring IMO is an indication to be taken along with other signs, if your cat is relaxed and purring it means everything in the world is lovely, if he/she is purring but not relaxed it could mean mischief is being planned. I have also read that cats purr in response to pain and purring eases their pain somewhat. I'm not suggesting btw that Devon is in pain ... that's just another possible reason for purring. |

I had my first short snuggle with Devon!!!!!!!! I have been working with him in letting me pick him up and it's going well. I got to hold him close to me for about 10 seconds. I know it's short. Just thought we'd start small. But he was still purring and didn't have his nails out like in the very beginning. Whoo hoo, my little baby is coming around.  |
