King of the road.

He is a true tom cat, despite lacking two distinct round features of being such since being a young man , and is very much king of the road.
He has been spotted three MILES from home on multiple occasions.
He secures our garden like fort knox as he marches around spitting in feline at any cat that dare cross him.
He struts around like he is all big and bad when he's outside, and is a real wild cat.
He is generally, a bruiser and well known locally.
He is also quite large, in size and weight...he is quite fond of stealing food.
And he hunts more than any cat I have ever known.
He sounds like a real nightmare doesn't he?

But every night, since being born in this room in the bottom of the wardrobe five years ago this August, he marches upstairs into the bedroom for his belly tickled...even if only briefly before going out hunting. I've always wondered if he expects Bella to be here waiting to frogmarch him back to bed.
He's a real hothouse flower inside, I have a very close bond with Maxwell...ever since helping him into this world when he decided not to take his first breaths we have been very close. I have his brother William here too, but he is very different.
He's been here screeching away in that horrible monkey voice he inherited from his mother, demanding affection. Haven't posted pictures in a while!
He's all big and bad outside, but still a BIG baby indoors. But the exact reason I hesitate when considering another cat since Clem's been gone.

Even the biggest, toughest cookie can have a heart of melting moments! He's such a gorgeous boy - but I quite see why you hesitate to try and introduce another cat, Luke. Chances are it wouldn't work - it is a risky business at best.
