Pre-paid Credit Cards

Has anybody got one of these cards?

I've just got one for hubby. Apparently what you do is pay a £16 fee and then add money to the card as and when. To add money to the card is free and you use it just like any other Credit Card. It's being issued by MasterCard. I thought it would be a good idea for hubby cos then he can add money to it and use whilst he's abroad, instead of me sorting it out all the time

Re: Pre-paid Credit Cards

I've heard of them (particularly for travelling) but not seen or used.
It's a really good idea - less fiddly than travellers cheques and I think you get a degree of security too .... i.e. if it's lost or stolen you can report it and stop it

Re: Pre-paid Credit Cards

We used one when we went to Portgual, very easy to use, and I would use it again.
