wet Monday

Good afternoon everyone, its wet here today but much better than the snow we have had!!

I re-organised the kitchen this morn. Gave Harris and Skye a bigger cupboard for all their things today Did loads of washing and went shopping. Nothing too exciting. Had a very sooky Skye today aswell!! she can be soo affectionate at times. Harris was sooky this morn aswell so both have had lots of cuddles today.

Hope you all have a great day

Re: wet Monday

hi pamela, everyone to follow!

the sun is shining here today (yes!) not quite as cold! not done much today, phoned about looking for a rat savvy vet as i have a girl needing a lump removal and as much as i love my vets, i would rather someone with more experience do it this time. so she has an appointment in Ayr in 2 weeks time to discuss, will need to get the train then a bus.
gonna hop in for a quick shower then a trip down the street, have something to post and a cheque to put into the bank.
have been attempting to get some pics of pip today to put up, so far no good he wont keep still!! will post my results later!

Re: wet Monday

Afternoon pamela and lynz and all who follow on .... it's been a glorious day here so far but is now clouding over. We have been to the tip to get rid of a car load of rubbish and recycling. Various small things keep going wrong at our place; the spring has gone on the dishwasher door, the light has gone in the oven, we had to have a leaky radiator replaced and the extractor fan in the shower too. Got a chap coming out on Wednesday to sort the dishwasher and the oven - isn't it odd how these things sort of happen in clusters???

Kizzy and Pip have been behaving like dervishes this morning, chasing each other in and out of the house. They will crash later I'm sure. Pip came in once with a green streak over his nose - no idea how he got that! Came off with a wet tissue thankfully.

Have a good day everyone. I am looking forward to the pictures of your Pip, lynz. Sorry about the rattie - if I were you I would seriously consider finding a different genetic line in future. (((hugs)))

Re: wet Monday

thanks angie, she is one of the unrelated ones and hers is a mammary lump under her arm, they are quite common in female rats unfortunately. hers has been growing slowly over the last few months and because of the other vets bills its had to wait until now to be removed, but with an experienced vet, should be no problems.
i have spoken to the breeder where i got them and she has stopped breeding from the line of the stomach tumour ones and still has the mum of my mum, so looks like its just a horrible gene that mine shared. i also spoke to a rat health specialist and out of 200 rats she's had, only seen them twice, so just terrible bad luck for me!

hope no more of your household appliances play up!

Re: wet Monday

Hi all. Sunny here, still cooler than normal at 6 C (42 F), but not as windy. Rain mid-week then a lovely warm up by the coming weekend if the forecast holds true. No news here, had my grocery delivery yesterday and my prescription was missing; big hassle!! But all sorted finally.

Lynz, good luck with the new vet; what bad luck genetically with your ratties. Angie, hope the cluster of little annoyances is over now, and the dynamic duo have flaked out for a bit. Pamela, you've been busy!

May it be a good day for all!

Re: wet Monday

Hey all... Just a quick note from me today. Head really is Not with me - hasn't been all day. Kept on making mistakes at work, or stalling and thinking 'what was I doing...'

Have just been advised to go get a cup of strong caffeine before it gets too late, so I guess I'd better take that advice!

Cya somepoint - hopefully will be more with it another time!

Re: wet Monday

Good wishes for your rattie's mammary lump lynz, thanks for explaining that. You did have a run of horrid fortune with the poor rats with the stomach tumours, I'm very glad that the breeder has stopped with that line. I get very confused with genetics and am even more so after watching the programme last night about buying a puppy. I'll post a new thread and see if someone can sort me out!

Glad your prescription problem is sorted Eileen - is it helping you at all yet? Sorry to hear your off centre today Squirrel, hope you feel more focussed soon. Take care.

Re: wet Monday

evening everyone.
Lynz you have had terribly bad luck with your Rats, i hope this new vet is realy good. We too are trying a new vet with our pets, it's quite a big step to take.
Nice morning at work, then my parents called to meet Kwame.
Out for a walk with Malaika in the sunshine, lots of birds and squirels about.
Had good news about Lulu, will post a seperate thread.
