Re: Oooh Noo Got a problem HELP

They will get it back Jac. Don't worry - it is normal.

Try it with a bit of your worn clothing too - rub it around him. He just smells funny to Abi, that's all it is.

Be careful of the talc near his wound

Bet he smells lush now!!!!

I'm more worried about him bursting his stiches right now. She's seeing him off no matter where he is. Tell you my sweet wee Abi is a witch.

Just normal cat behaviour. They will be back to normal in a few days.

When Patch came home from being done they were quite red and looked a bit sore - the next day they looked perfectly normal again (well, he did cover them with his fur lol XD)

Re: Oooh Noo Got a problem HELP

Cat castrates do not tend to have stitches as the incisions are so so tiny they heal very quickly on their own

As the others have said, try wiping him over with something which smells of you to make him smell more familiar once he has been back in his own environment for a day or so he should be fully accepted back into the household

Jac, don't worry, it's normal! Remember when Milo was done, Tink hissed, growled and behaved like a little witch for a day or so, and had Erin very upset! "This too shall pass" !!!

Awww, Jac I didn't mean to sound unsympathetic; was just trying to help you worry less! I know what you mean, it's different when it's our baby!

Cats have an incredibly good sense of smell and rely very strongly on it: Caspurr may look like himself and act like himself, but to Abi he doesn't smell like himself, and she trusts her nose! They'll be back sharing that new bed (have you got it yet?) very soon!
