Re: Tormented Birdie Watchers.

I wonder too. Don't laugh, please, but I tried to teach Leia to chatter when she was younger. When there was a bird outside the window that she was glaring at, I'd imitate the chattering noise pointing at the bird ..... and she looked at me as if I'd lost my mind! She still doesn't chatter.

Re: Tormented Birdie Watchers.

Merlin and Smudge were chatterers. Kizzy doesn't seem to be, but Pip is - he also makes a sort of a grunty noise when he's playing. Some cats are more vocal generally - I wonder if the chattering/general vocalisation go together?

Re: Tormented Birdie Watchers.

That's an interesting point! Leia doesn't chatter and is not a very vocal cat; Dandy and Sultan, who did, were also talkative. Maybe we should do a poll!

Oh and thanks for not laughing at me for trying to teach her to chatter ... if you could have seen the look on her face very funny in retrospect

Been trying to think back about my 'chatterers' and I think, in general, they were the more vocal cats. Maybe a poll would be fun.

Oh DM, I promise I didn`t laugh at the thought of what you must have looked like trying to teach Leia to chatter, I hope none of the neighbours witnessed the lesson though .
Also I could just pictures Leia`s confused expresion.
I would say that both Maxi and Maisy are just as vocal as each other, but it is just Maxi who does the chattering, and yes I also think a poll could be fun .

Lol, Leia's an indoor cat so the "lesson" was unseen by anyone!

I messed up on the poll, but there's a thread......
