Re: Moli's hurt her paw

I'm not sure what to do about Moli. She keeps trying to nibble the bit of her pad that's ripped, off

Should I let her or should I try and stop her?

Re: Moli's hurt her paw

If it is a lose flap of skin, I'd get a pair of disinfected scissors and cut it neatly because if she tears it off, the bit left will be ragged and more likely to make a good home for dirt and bacteria. If it is actually a bit of pad, then I don't know. Vet?

Photo of Moli's baddie paw

2nd paw in from the left as your looking at the piccie. The pinkie bit is where the pad has come away from the foot.

Think I might be inclined to let the vet check that over Nae? Do let us know how she gets on x

Re: Moli's hurt her paw

OKay not long got back from the vets. The vets cut off the bit of loose pad and said it'll grow back and toughen up in time. In the mean time it's gonna be sore. She's also had her flea treatment and some ear drops as she may have ear mites. In total this vet visit cost me £25

She's jumping about like an idiot chasing leaves and stuff round the garden so it can't be that bad
