Re: Monday again!!

Beautiful day, so sunny and a good stiff breeze so I was looking forward to hanging out the laundry, but someone in the neighbourhood has lit a bonfire and it stinks out there! I'm cross!! people want to sit out and enjoy their gardens on a holiday. Actually it's possible that it's a heathland fire, it's so dry here and there have been a few blazes lately

Hope you're all enjoying the day!

Have a good day all.

Re: Monday again!!

Afternoon all

At work tonight am going to have to get a grip here and decided nights or days. This is very unsettling to my system. Have slept funny and or done something and pulled or twisted something around my ribs/back. How bad I hear you ask and I will tell you I am taking paracetamol.....that bad, considering I take nothing ever.

Anyhow enough of my moaning, Eileen hope your day is doing well for your none food day, and wishing you the best for tomorrow.

Its very windy here too but no rain yet which has been forcast. I really need to get my hair cut as well, hope everyone is good.

Pamela what luxury to have doors! I was considering new doors but have decided to paint mine instead. See how it goes. Thats the thing with new homes/houses it take a while to come together and always worth the wait.

Mrs H hope its not a heath fire although I suspect there
need to be some to keep it young and fresh.
Squirrel short week good for you.
Shelley enjoy your village fete, have you read any of the books yet. I found some for myself the other day and have put them away ready for my holiday as I always struggle for books when I am away can't find any that cach my imagination in the lead up it it.

Have a good day all I am doing nothing, reseving energy and my back for tonight.

Re: Monday again!!

Hi people! Another bank holiday? You lucky folk seem to have many more than we do!! Cloudy again, still cooler than it should be at 15 C (59 F)Watered all the house plants, got the garbage, trash and recycling out as Chris will be looking after the house while I'm in hospital. Won't complain too much about no food, as it's horrible but there's no alternative,,, gotta do it! Also, start taking the awful tasting gallon of bowel cleanser starting at noon. ugh. Or should I use my favorite "bah!"!?

Ben Laden finally got his!

Pamela, never painted interior so can't comment; MrsH, a friend on OFF in Lancashire reports a moor fire that's very near her house; I'm awful at Geography is that near you? Kazz, sorry you slept funny, I hate that! Hi, Shelley, Squirrel.

Enjoy the day!

Re: Monday again!!

Thing with Bank Holidays over here Eileen is that they started off as pretty regional... One in England may really be Only a holiday in England. Then you've all the other variations too.

What an individual actually works therefore varies from employer to employer - and region to region.

I get a grand total of about 7 in a year I think. Today, one at the start of June, and all the rest over Christmas time. The last two years have been wonderfully timed, as with Christmas being over the weekend I've actually had a full week off on bank holiday - off from Christmas itself right the way through to the 3rd or the 4th Jan. Bliss.

As of next year though it'll be a case of taking AL if you want that kind of a holiday...

Re: Monday again!!

Hi all - not much going on here today. OH and I had our Bank Holiday cooked brekkie this morning and have only managed a cup of tea since! Having a spicy rice thing tonight so if we don't fancy a lot, the rest can go in the fridge.

I downloaded a new game yesterday and have spent most of the afternoon playing it - now I am stuck! I am not the best at these sort of things ..... I used to get really worried if I got something wrong - over that now but I'm still pants at computer games

Will be thinking about you tomorrow Eileen ..... am storing up vibes to be sent in the morning.

Good on your chaps for getting OBL - one less creep in the world.

Re: Monday again!!

Karen, no i haven't read any of the books yet, like you i am saving them for my hols
Sorry your back is sore, hope it's better soon.
Sounds as if you have got organised, Eileen.
The fete was nice, not much there realy but it's a good place to socialise the hounds.
I got an old book published in 1960 from the book stall, it's about a man who goes to live in the Congo with the pygmies, i am hoping it mentions Basenjis but so far i haven't found any reference during my skimming.
We watched a dog agility show and obedience.
Yes Good riddance to Bin Laden, hope he's gone somewhere nice and hot !
