Now then, I have heard of chilli vodka ...... but never tried it! We have a friend who would love that as a C-word present!

It is easy to make- steep a cut chilli in a bottle, a couple of weeks gives an 'edge' and the longer the stronger. Ginger is good too- same principle. Do you steep the raspberries as you would sloes for sloe gin?

Yes, exactly the same. We also did sloe vodka last autumn and IMO, it is much better than sloe gin. Have also done plum, apple and cinnamon and gooseberry (which was a bit cloudy unfortunately); also cherry and blackberry brandy. You can tell by that list that we do like our fruit spirits!

I'm going to try that chilli - we keep an eye out for vodka offers in the supermarkets!!!
