Re: Some new additions.

Oh what a difference in Pippin!! He looks so much better than when he first came to you ..........he is filling out nicely too.

He must be able to feel a big difference in his feet, the farrier is working wonders with them.

Sorry to hear about Smokey, he is no longer in any pain

Sorry to hear about Smokey - RIP wee bunny.

Pippin is coming along very well - He's looking so much better. How is his character - is he getting easier to handle?

Sorry to hear about dear little Smokey xxx
Pippin is really taking shape now and begining to look good. He must be feeling a little better in himself after being taken care of.

Re: Some new additions.

Thank everybody, Smokey was a very special rabbit to us. He was abandoned in a flat and we fostered him, but almost from the start I knew I was going to keep him. We paired him with a girl, Milly, after he was castrated and was a very happy boy. Last year he developed breathing problems and even though we had him scanned, x-rayed and blood sampled we never came to any conclusion. The general opinion was he had asthma or an allergy. We spent the last year giving him a cat inhaler 3 times a day, and he put up with it all. He was a real fighter, and even at the end he wouldn't give up.
He may have been a small rabbit but he had the heart of a lion and we miss him very much.

Re: Some new additions.

Another quick update on Pippin.
He is still doing well and is now in the big stable block with the other horses. He is a much happier pony, although he gets a bit upset when the others go out in the morning. I had to sacrifice my tack room and it is now stable 5, my tack room is no more and for the moment my tack is spread over a wide area!
The blacksmith is really pleased with him and said we could start putting him out last week. We haven't actually put him out yet as I suspect he will be a nightmare to catch and we will want to be around to watch him carefully. He will have to go into a small paddock and I'm not sure if this will stress him more, being able to see the other horses and not get to them. I am off this week and Mike is off at the end of it so we are planning to get him out then. The blacksmith thinks he is walking really well and is much looser than he thought he would be. Here are some photos but they aren't very good as it is too dark.

Notice, the ribs have nearly vanished,
