That's good Angie. So glad they seem to be getting on reasonably well for a beginning. And it seems to me that the only problem with your hearing is that ti's too sharp - esp for having a crying puppy about the place. I'm similar... |

Angie, my betting is that the vet will say something on the lines of "it's early days yet, he's having to cope with a big upheaval in his life, give it another week or so etc" My vet is a lovely bloke and I trust him to give the best medical advice for our pets but he's not a behaviourist, nutritionist, trainer, breed expert etc. etc. so I tend to take any advice on these matters with a pinch of salt and get really useful ideas from my breed forum. Why not post for ideas on Dogsey or specialist breed forum? see what other experienced puppy mums advise. |

I'm assuming Monty didn't have any cats at home? No wonder he seems a bit overwhelmed by those two very strange not very friendly animals ... he never knew there were such things! It will improve ....... |

Well, good news. OH moved the crate into our bedroom after a bit of a move around. We all had a peaceful night! Been to the vet this morning and some potentially bad news. Also vet does not recommend having crate in bedroom!!! |

I suppose that a puppy will get used to it and it might make leaving the puppy alone more difficult later? That's the only reason that comes to mind. |
