Re: Very worried about Teddy

Really hope this sorts everything out once and for all Alex x

I'm with DM on this one, I'd be inclined to not switch diets until you have them all back up to full par as it were but that's only a personal opinion. Your vet may advise differently..

Re: Very worried about Teddy

Good grief! I never know where I am with this kit. From not getting off the litter tray, now she hasn't gone near it except to wee! She hasn't done a poo since wednesday night, which I presume is probably because there isn't a great deal of nutritional value in the white fish on its own 9at least I hope that's what it is). Broxi on the other habd has been a bit more runny the last few days but I'm not concerened because I was warned that could happen with the ab's! And Cooper, well I always knew he had a cast iron stomach, lol.

Teddie's going from one extreme to the other, isn't she! But at least, no runs!

Pebbles was the same when hers finally stopped!!

Just out of curiosity, what food were you feeding her while she had the runs - both wet and dry? Don't have the time to read through all these to find out!!

Re: Very worried about Teddy

We tried dry to begin with, then went on to wet but never both together (on the vets advice), ow she's on white fish alone. My personal preference is to have her completely on dry.

What brands of food have you tried her on?

Alex you don't mean that do you? There's plenty of nutrition in the fish (though not 100% of what cats would need if that was all they were ever given) - the thing is that there's very little 'roughage'. I'm sure that's what you meant. So there probably won't be a lot to come out. And she needs to get back into kilter after another bout of diarrhoea.
As long as she seems well in herself, which seems to be the case ......
Keep up the good work!

Thanks DM, lol. You're right, that was what I meant. She still hasn't 'gone' but what goes in must come out eventually!

Re: Very worried about Teddy

BT, she's been tried on RC Kitten and Sensitive, HiLife, Pro Plan kitten and sensitive, whiskas kitten and adult, Hills i.d vet prescription, plain chicken and rice, and now white fish on it's own. A veritable fortune has been spent on bags and tins of food that have been discarded, lol. (oh and I forgot Asdas own Tiger range as well)
