Re: Questions about fostering

No - but they do have to be kept away from any other cats. So some people have a pen in their spare room for moms & kittens. Some people don't have their own cats-so foster in the house - but that limits you as none of the cats can be mixed. I am able to take 4 "families" of cats if needbe, as I have 4 pens. I've got room for more - but not the time. I'd have more if I could but I can just manage what I've got. I can only really speak about the branch I'm involved with, but I know the others would have the same policies on mixing cats.

Re: Questions about fostering

That was Smudge the cat wanting a cuddle & standing on keyboard for attention.

With my local branch (again not sure about others though) it's a case of whatever space you've got - they are made to measure. Mine are 12' x 9' (I think) but weren't made to measure - mine are Lindee Lu design pens

Kazz - have a look at Cats protection website - go to branches & shelters & look at your local branch - if they've got a website take a look.

Re: Questions about fostering

Good point I will have a look.

There again I may just specalise in rehoming oldies. I'll be the person who goes to the Cat rescue adn say I'll have your most unhomeable/longest stay cat. Please.
I can't see me getting kittens after these two have gone. But oldies - yes that would be me.
