I am so sorry to read this Kim, but the good news is you were aware enough of your cats health to know something was wrong and take him to the vets therefore you will be able in conjunction with the vets to manage his health proactively.

I am sorry he is poorly and "understand" how devestating that kind of news can be with regard to your much loved animals.
