she finished the hills tin last night by licking itoff her spoon, since the other kitten died she hasnt left the other 3 she sits watching them sleep doesshe know2 have died?
she had some more chicken and a few licks of gourmet tin
i keep trying her with bits of food, she stillnot eating biscuits or whiskas so i bought some special pate tins and some science plan biscuits in hope she l try that
i syringed 5ml of water into her as she hasnt left the nest to go to a waterbowl
the remaining 3 are gaining weight well and the2 red boys have opened there eyes.
last night when i weighed them the little tortie girl had gained 33g in 24hrs! the boys are heavier than her
she weighed last night 158g the boys weighed 180g and 202g they are 9 days old at midnight
i do hope they make it

It's sounding better and better! I have no idea what kittens should weigh at that age but it seems like a good weight gain.

It does sound that she is picking up a bit. Cant remember who but someone on here has a weight chart for kittens of there own.

29th April, Grey - 3 oz, Blue - 3, 3/4 oz, Pink - 4 oz
1st May, Grey - 3, 1/4 oz, Blue - 4, 1/4 oz, Pink - 5 oz
2nd May, Grey - 3.5 oz, Blue - 4.5 oz, Pink - 5, 1/4 oz
3rd May, Grey - 4 oz, Blue - 5 oz, Pink - 5, 3/4 oz
8th May, Grey - 6 oz, Blue - 7, 1/4 oz, Pink - 8, 1/4 oz
11th May, Grey - 7.5 oz, Blue - 8.5 oz, Pink - 9, 1/4 oz
17th May, Grey - 10.5 oz, Blue - 10.5 oz, Pink - 11.5 oz

Progress:
2nd May - Pink has half an eye open.

i rang vet as i dnt have all blood results still not in i told them she s not drinking or eating michtold me i have to bring her in tomorrow for a day on a drip!

Oh poor Amber. Not out of the woods then herself. How are her 3 kits doing? I was very interested in what Kay said, good (but sad) to know why these things happen.

Yes that was a good post by Kay, she's very knowledgable; I love the way everyone here tries to help in a situation like this, even if it's only by understanding and being sympathetic. Poor Amber, hope things go well tomorrow.
