Re: Is yours up yet?

I think you've just described my dream house there. If you find it can I move in too?

My Grandad's house had a half-glazed door between the front door and the rest of the hallway. It had stained glass in it and I especially remember a blue and white bit that had a deeply incised star shape in it- lovely!

(I haven't thought of that house very often since I was last in it over 30 years ago now, wonder if it still has that door?)

Re: Is yours up yet?

Apparently we all love bay windows. My ideal house would have one in the living room, another in the dining room, a wood burning fireplace and French doors out to the patio.

Nope, not puttting one up this year, I said that last year but eventually put it up anyway. Not this year though, may put up a few decorations just to make it feel xmassy though.

Re: Is yours up yet?

We have one artificial tree up already on the middle landing-it has a big window and my sister wanted people to be able to see it from the road
Our decorations from the last few years (pink and silver) are on that tree, I want to go with a more traditional feel in keeping with the house downstairs.
We'll be getting a real tree to put up in the living room bay window at the weekend-I'm currently knitting some baubles to hang on it!
We finally picked up the two dining tables which a friend has kindly given us yesterday so we will actually have seats for everyone on Christmas day!
My first Christmas cooking for the relatives

We have our small artificial one up. It's not very impressive but I told Mr. Scrooge (K) we MUST have something I also managed to get some candles and a small wreath by him. Figure if I sneak a little by each year we'll have this place turned into a winter wonderland yet
