Re: Peapod's Kittens

Thanks again everyone.
I think what makes it harder as it is my first ever litter so was hoping things would go smoothly as peapod is an experienced mum and very maternal. Just seems like this litter wasnt meant to be. I cant help thinking though is it something i did wrong as her breeder said she had no problems with her anytime.
I've even got to the stage of even going to rehome all my queens but my friend managed to talk some sense into me and tell me to wait until i can see things rationally.

Re: Peapod's Kittens

[quote=yola;351725]I think Sarah said that they took another cat to a show and the pregnant cat had her 1st kitten whilst they were out (that's how I read it anyway).

Yes she edited the post to change the wording to make it more clear, but initially it sounded like the cat had given birth at the show (that's how I read it anyway) I thought it was odd that she's had a kitten at the show. Silly me.

Re: Peapod's Kittens

Hi Smudgley
Peapod is fine today but we are having a lot of trouble with her kittens scroll back on the thread and you will see
Her name was given to her by her breeder as when she was a kitten she used to run off with the pods when she was podding peas hence peapod.

Oh {{{hugs}}} to you.
Sorry the kittens are not doing too well. Are the 2 feeding well? Are they strong?

Bless that little peapod running of with the peapods

Re: Peapod's Kittens

Hi Smudgley
No the other two kittens are very weak too.
One of them is feeding a little and the other is just going at fits and starts.
Peapod is having nothing to do with them as i dont think her milk has come in so she isnt feeding them. She does clean them though which stimulates them to toilet which is good.
Its gonna be a looooooooooooong night as i cant face going to bed and leaving them. Would rather be with them as they leave this world than them doing it alone. I know that sounds daft

Re: Peapod's Kittens

Oh dear.
Wish I could be of help, but there's not much anyone can do except ensure they are warm & comfortable & feeding as much as they will.
