gosh it aint half hot today! I have two fans going in my living room, and it still hot. The cats seem to be fairing better than us humans, theyre still charging about the house playing, and sleeping in the cool areas, dont seem to be too bothered by it |

I think it's too hot. My 4 year old is off school today with a headache. Bless him. |

I have a huge fan pointing at me in the office; problem is, it dries out my contact lenses . . .  Night-time was bearable but only coz I didn't have any clothes or covers on. Domi slept right through (thankfully) but then he had the fan on him. Tonight I'm taking one of the office fans (the one on a tall leg) home and will have that pointed at me all night. Did you know there is no upper limit to temperatures at work? There is a limit below which people can leave an office but you have to work irrespective of the heat. I think they're looking at changing/clarifying this as it's daft. I know if one of my staff felt faint then I would certainly tell them to go home. Emm - I think your boss stinks!! |

There are guidelines on having regualr breaks in certain heats, and having a fan, Jembob looked it up last night after I told her on the phone about it. The only "perk" we got as nurses in hot weather was we didnt have to wear our tights and after a certain heat could wear those white "sugery" type clogs! You think there would be better guidelines about working in the heat. I know some schools are clsoing due tot he heat. My sons school is well old, and they ahvent even got any fans for the kids, I think it's disgusting, okt hey open the windows but it's still boiling in that classroom. |

This is quite rare for us to have it as hot as this......usually our top summer temperature just touches the upper 20's. No wonder we find this difficult to cope with!  The forecast is for our summers to start getting hotter....and hotter!!   |

Doesnt supriseme at all, what with global warming etc. What does concern me a little, is it just I dont remember them before or has there been a rise in tsunami's the past few years? And earthquakes. It's not too bad in here at the moment, but still hot, just with the fans going it isnt sticky, but I just went outside to change bunnies water, as i do three times a day, and it is BOILING. yesterday i put the umbrella up over thier run, so that they are at least shaded. |

My daughter was in the coolest place today.....Cheddar Caves on a School Trip. Mind you the coach was hot there and back x |
