Re: Whats the best name you've ever heard for a cat?

It just came to me: Pyewacket was the cat in "Bell, Book & Candle", and he was a Siamese!!

I think Katie called Mini Pyewacket occasionally! poor thing!
Psipsina is from Captain Correlli's Mandolin - the 'funny looking cat' (some type of marten) had that name. It's the Greek equivalent of 'Puss'.

DM - Psipsina . . . lovely name. And one of my favourite ever EVER books. Shame about the fillum

Dandysmom - Grimalkin needs to be a real old curmudgeon of a cat . . . something like a big old Persian with a big old frown on his face don't you think???

Re: Whats the best name you've ever heard for a cat?

My neighbour had a cat called Raztus (sp??) that was unusual. Only 'different' fosters I have had have been Dixie (named by my neighbour, apparently he looked like one) and Sonny Jim - I have known a cat called Pilchard too. And I know a rescue lady who has a cat called Minimopsical, she is a CH kitty and lovely.

Oh yes - the only redeeming factor was Kephalonia (but I think I remember reading that much was filmed on Corfu?)

I've always pictured a Grimalkin as being a very large, dignified, slightly aloof black cat!! Funny how different images come to mind!
