Re: Had to take Merlin to the vet this afternoon

Ah, just back from the vet's. All is well. Merlin was obviously not in any pain and let the vet examine him. On Wednesday, his bladder was all tight and screwed up, but today it was relaxed and the vet said he could feel no stones or polyps. His urine is low pH, which precludes any crystals forming. So, it was just a cystitis attack which has responded to treatment. He has had another anti-inflammatory injection and his monthly B12 injection. He did not swear at the vet - only at me as I was holding him while the vet went to get the vitB injection - we were all unscathed at the end - well apart from the wallet that is.

He has come home and asked for food straight away. OH is lighting the fire for him.

I always thought cats' staff was an excellent user name - Merlin certainly has his butler and housekeeper running after him!!! Wouldn't have it any other way.

I am feeling greatly relieved.

I am glad that your boss is feling better. We do regularly get put in our place don't we? I think Merlin may be communicating with Smudge because she is sitting next to the unlit fire glaring! Please ask him to humbly accept a chin tickle from Smudge's staff.....

I think they remember those long ago days when they were worshipped as gods in Egypt! Merlin gracefully accepts chin tickles from Smudge's staff! Thanks so much.

Imogen is very glad that her uncle Merlin is feeling better, and wishes she could come and share the fire with him!
