Well, we're home; I'm a nervous wreck and Leia is fine; took her bandaid off her back leg, ate her afternoon snack and is napping now. No reaction so far to the rabies shot. She has an antibiotic in liquid form for her nasal congestion (I told vet I cannot pill!), and they drew blood and took a urine sample; will have the results back by Saturday. Vet is a little concerned that she's only 11 pounds now. She was scared but a very good cat while she was being poked and prodded; she tolerated everything very well; I was the one all tensed up! I shall have a nice cold martini to decompress! Thanks all for your good vibes! |

Thanks both! I do get more stressed than she does! She only yelled twice, once while having her ears examined, and when a rectal temperature was taken! I learned something I didn't know: I noticed that as Carolyn or I were stroking her she was shedding a lot: Dr. Schwartz said they sometimes do that when stressed! LOL, maybe that's why my hair is even thinner than it was since I was in hospital! |
