Re: Wednesday - a bit damp around the dusters!

Evening everyone- it has actually rained here!

I hope the lunch was tasty as well as worthy Mrs H. There was good series on a while ago where they did low cal versions of food and we use a few of the recipes from that- (both OH and I decided a year ago that middle aged spread was getting out of hand).

I have never managed to grow catnip Angie, the cats always rolled on seedlings before they could do much.

Sorry about the vehicle probs Shelley- if it's not one it's the other for us too!

Glad you are enjoying food again Eileen! Hope the book selection is going OK

I'm back after a day at Wrest Park- a garden Capability Brown left alone so a real rarity!

The catnip spray is great fun. George goes absolutely mad when I use it, you wouldn't think it was the same cat as usually he's so laid back he's practically horizontal. When I use the catnip it is like I've created a monster lol

Cats' staff, if you grow the catnip in a hanging basket outdoors it's unscathed. I'm
sure you know the old saying:

If you set it, the cats will get it; If you sow it, the cats won't know it.

Good point (but I'm not always convinced with Tolly- he is quite the acrobat!)

Re: Wednesday - a bit damp around the dusters!

I bought a lovely catnip plant earlier in the Spring and planted it - cats still haven't paid it much attention. I think there may be several varieties all called catnip. Think we've discussed this before now. The little seedlings I transplanted today were quite strongly scented.

A cat would never perform to order though! Just yawn in the general direction of the judges
