Re: Very Good Friday

Emma, your recipe sounds lovely except for the "bone a leg of lamb" bit - but I expect I could get the butcher to do that for me!!! Wouldn't know where to start!

Re: Very Good Friday

Happy Easter everyone.

Weather not too bad at the moment, but has been raining a lot of the day. Not done too much today except been a taxi service to my daughter to the cinema. She did the driving as she has her test in a couple of weeks, then I popped into M&S for a few things. Anyone tried their hot cross buns, they are fab! Not too keen on Good Friday really as this is the day my mum had her terrible accident. Yola, sorry to hear about your neighbour - very sad. As you say, bloody cigarettes.

Angie you can use any cut of lamb. As long as they are in large chunks.

Re: Very Good Friday

Angie, in our butcher section you can buy packaged pre-cut chunks of lamb ... I presume for shish kebab .... but I use them when I make lamb stew, just freeze the excess for later.

Re: Very Good Friday

Happy Good Friday all. Weather has curtailed my gardening plans and dog walking ones, as the rain was like actually hurting when it hits you. even I don't walk the dog in that.

So just stayed home. Had lemon sole for dinner gorgeous steamed with lemon of course. Ate it with a nice slice or two of bread and butter....yummy.

Have changed my browser to firefox trying it out its different but not sure...I dislike change but hey ho.

Its a shame about your neighbour Yola does he smoke?

Re: Very Good Friday

The weather today has been drizzly.
Been doing lots of house work today getting it nice and tidy, I don't like stuff messy.
The cat and dog have been sat on there bums all day watching me hoovering and dusting and putting stuff away. and then when I tried to move them both so I could hoover the spot which they were sat on they just stared at me and refused to move I soon got them to move but they weren't happy about it.
I'm sorry to hear about the man living next door to you Yola.
Hope everybody has had a Good Friday

Kizzy's not keen on the vacuum, but Pip isn't bothered at all and he LOVES the floor mop!
