I'm fairly sure the vet must comply with the owner's wishes, and if they want to PTS they can insist OR go to another vet in this instance. I would certainly be asking questions about leaving a cat in such pain and asking what the RVC have to say about these circumstances.

It isn't down to James, the other vet's above James in the pecking order and Malcolm's not normally seen by James

Don't know why the vet doesn't just PTS ...
