Re: Hi there - I'm new and could do with some advice

Hi and welcome! Does she go out a lot? The sun definitely will give black cats a distinct rusty tinge to their fur. But the new fur after they've shed the old coat comes in black again. How long has her black been rusty? And odd that it's just her back parts ....

Hi Will

I remember my friends black cat starting to turn rust coloured from about age 8 or 9.......I think it was like people going gray because he lived a long healthy life.....just got more rust coloured each year!

Hi
Thanks for interest.
I'll enter a photo. I've just noticed it very gradually over two or three months. I thought it was just the sun giving her coat a sheen but it's actually turning rust colour. Just the black. White sections ok.

Hi

Thanks for interest. No - it's just some of her black parts. Her face and tail for example are ok. I'll send a photo.
It will reveal all.

Hi

I'd like to post a photo but am having trouble. I can find nowhere where it says add attachments. I have a photo in my document folder.

Thanks Will
