I had veggie pie mash and carrots. OH had minted lamb, I forgot to get myself something and rumaged in the freezer. Denis had beef (from yesterday)

First time ever today, I had gammon, baked beans and oven chips

Never bought oven chips before; and won't again I'm afraid - should have stuck to my first plan and done paprika'd potato wedges

Never had gammon either - OH bought it. A bit tough and probably OK on toast for breakfast, but not really my bag for dinner.

And baked beans??? Best left for the kids methinks!

Chinese takeaway sounds far more preferable IMO

I am not sure what it is with gammon but I love the smell of it cooking but always appears tough to me to....I like gammon with pinneapple and chips.

I'd never heard of gammon; think without a valid reason, that I wouldn't like it much. And I agree on baked beans! My Dad was from New England and loved them; I would always fix something else for myself the night we had them...

Yola, Sainsburys taste the difference gammon isn't normally too tough, perhaps worth giving a go??

Ours was from Waitrose who usually do OK food. Methinks OH left it in the oven too long . . . will more than likely give the Sainsbury's one a go if and when we get round to gammon again (it ain't a staple food in our house . . . )
