I'm an excellent cook, as I shouldn't say myself, but food does seem to taste better when someone else cooks it and does the washing-up...

Re: Daily Thread/Monday

Well, what an evening! Whilst awaiting the kitchen design blokie there was knock on the door and our old neighbours were (totally unannouced) on the doorstep - they moved to Suffolk 5 years ago! They were SUCH good mates that it was a joy to see them. They brought their 5 1/2 year old (beautiful) daughter too who completely hit it off with Dominik and they headed off downstairs to demolish a toy catalogue on the alter of cutting out!

The kitchen man came and quoted us 2k for a kitchen which put a smile on my face . . . but which time it was 9pm so we had a takeaway curry too
