Re: Daily thread - 27/06/07 - a historic day

DM - Very Happy Birthday to your son

Fran - Glad the weather seems a bit better today.

Yola - 3rd tooth already. He sounds a delightful baby!

Tom - Lucky you not having to go to school today!

Showers here again today. Just got back from Glenfield Hospital, had to take my daughter for an MRI of her hand. It is the hospital where little Madeleines dad is a consultant. There is a shrine to her at the entrance, flowere, teddies, yellow ribbons - so sad.

Re: Daily thread - 27/06/07 - a historic day

Afternoon all,

No rain here yet - but the dark clouds are rolling in........again

I'm off to London this afternoon for my firm's Summer Party - woo hoo - get to leave work early then lots of free food and drink!! The only downside is having to get the train back home later and then get up for work tomorrow

Not much else to report really.

P.S. - I'll let you all know how 30 feels when I get there in 15 months!!! lol (got 29 first!!)

Afternoon all.
I'm still in bed . My back is so sore today it's taken me all my time to get washed. Was ordered back to bed with some very heavy painkillers. Slept a while, now getting back to the real world

DM Youre never young enough to have a son turning 30! I too will let you know what it's like when I get there

Yola, poor wee man must have been in a lot of pain. Congratulations on tooth no 3.

As for the weather?????? I did hear rain but the sun's out.

Tom enjoy another day of "freedom"

Our lot finish for the summer on Friday

DM; congrats to your son on his big day!

Yola: glad you and Sebi are both feeling better!

Jac
: hope the back improves soon!

Fran
: thinking "no rain" thoughts for you!

Sunny and warm again today, about 33C again; the predicted t'storms didn't come again; we could use some rain; everything is very dry! If you think reaching 30 is bad, wait till you make 70! That really bothered me; it sounds so old, and I don't feel old! (Nor act it, !!) Stay dry if possible, all, and have a nice afternoon!

Afternoon all,

Went to Daughter's Sports Afternoon, it was inside though due to weather.

Still not sure how I am feeling.......everything seems to be getting on top of me at the mo.

All the cats are fine x

Poor Julie
Is it this new job that doesn't suit? You haven't been your bubbly self for a good while now. Hope the black cloud passes soon. Maybe a bit of sunshine? ....... let's all wish that for each other

Happy Birthday son of DM. Son of MrsH was 30 at Easter so I know exactly how you feel DM!

Things not very pleasant at work at the moment with 3 weeks to go to the end of term and all of a sudden lots of stuff to do at the last minute. Feeling very put-upon with people wanting me to help them out when I've got masses of my own stuff to do! Grrrr! Memo to self " stop being too willing to help"

Re: Daily thread - 27/06/07 - a historic day

This weather is weird!!!! We had a really heavy hail storm a little while ago. Now the sun is out but it's cold and windy.

Picked up my prescription this afternoon and got my patches. My back is feeling a bit better now. I should have changed my patch yesterday but the chemist had run out and I had to wait until today. Feeling a bit dopey as the drug gets back into my system .
I plan to do as little as possible for the rest of the day.

Re: Daily thread - 27/06/07 - a historic day

Afternoon all, think Kent has had a day with no significant rain so far although predicted overnight tonight.

Been worried about Pickle my bunny today as he is off his food so am keeping a close eye on him as their tummys are very sensitive and they go downhill rapidly.

Kids off to their fathers for the night shortly and have an evening in with a friend so should be nice to have a good chat.

Hoping everyone is well and special ((hugs)) to Sweet who is feeling under the weather. Know how it feels.
