Re: For all of you that have children, a question

I used to bath with my mum and so did my sister and we always saw our parents naked. I don't think there is anything wrong with that at all and it certainly never did us any harm.

I agree that things are hyped up way too much now

Strange woman, I think she has some real 'hang-up'issues of her own sadly.

Children as young as 4 definitely need to be supervised in the bath, and I see nothing wrong with bathing with them at all. My children used to come in the bath with me, never did them any harm.

I don't see any harm in what you were doing. I think the lady you are talking to has the problem not you.

Re: For all of you that have children, a question

That is one nutty woman!!!! I have 2 girls one aged 10 and the other 7. My hubby stopped taking them in the bath with him when they turned two as he didn't want the girls making an innocent comment such as 'my daddy washes me when we bath together' and having social services on him lol! I took baths with them until they were 4 or 5 and still bath my 7 year old, though obviously I'm not in with her. If my 10 year old needs help with washing her hair or something then i have no hesitation in going in, and when I am too sore to bath them then OH does it! I would say that woman has some serious issues!

Re: For all of you that have children, a question

I think that woman has some issues that need addressing .

I took sean and Darrlye into the bath with me up to about 2 years old. Then closely supervised. Poor Ceilidh missed out as It was hard enough for me to get in and out without a little one. Derek used to take her into the bath then when we had the bathe removed and shower fitted she came in with either me or him, that is until one day she came out laughing saying daddy had a sausage between his legs .
I dress and undress in fornt of Ceilidh although OH doesn't. When she showers either OH or me wash her hair. No problems there.
The very thought of leaving a 4 year old in a bath unsupervised fills me with horror
