Re: daily thread - Tuesday

I've been working hard in the garden too DM! OH has cut the grass, and I've been planting in some bedding plants, a bellis mix! Dug in my compost, mines came out of a bag I'm afraid, lol, and did a general tidy up. So there's lots of greenery in the garden, but I'm waiting impatiently on a bit of colour appearing!!

Re: daily thread - Tuesday

Sunny and Springlike here also; did some garden work: cutting back dead stalks from the catnip which is starting to sprout (!), and some other chores and weeding...chickweed coming up like mad! Need to get a bag of potting soil; it's time to start all my seeds Saturday, St. Pat's Day is traditional for it. The usual tomatoes, basil and hot peppers, and am trying a few new things this year: brachycombe and asters. Also have some miniature dahlia tubers coming to add to the ones I overwintered. Can hardly wait for the growing season to get really started...have a nice evening, all!

Re: daily thread - Tuesday

Got a whole bunch of herbs from my step-son and his partner as a present today which is superb as I was planning a potted herb garden this year I will also be shortly investing in some tomato plants which I will keep indoors until the weather is certain. Beautiful and spring-like again today

Hubby is putting Dominik to bed and there is some very expensive fillet steak (in a cream and dolcelatte cheese sauce) ready to be lightly pan-fried as my birthday dinner. It looks too tender for words and I'm so looking forward to it - in all it's calorific glory

Must trim my fingernails tomorrow as typing is becoming impossible as I am hitting more incorrect keys with my fingers skating all over the keyboard

Off for dinner now and to watch Life on Mars
