No, it's a harness contraption that rams wear when they are doing their work. It holds a large block of coloured waxy crayon in position on their chest. Then, when they have attended to a ewe (tupped) they leave a big red/blue/purple splodge of colour on her bottom. Sort of 'Larry was here' calling card. Change the crayon colour to find who fell pregnant when (or whodunnit if there is more than one ram) and you know when to expect lambs.
